Polymer clay earrings tutorial
A easy (but for the patient ones) project was posted in the Israeli forum board by Yonat Dascalu - "DIY: Vogue Featured nOir Earrings". According to the creator (makeitmakeit? couldn't find her name) - "You make them yourself.  Then you massage your bleeding hands and shed a few tears while wearing your fabulous new earrings.  Seriously, these earrings were tedious and time consuming to make, so save them for a Sunday afternoon." :)
Good luck!

How a walk on 5th Av. ended up with a changeable polymer clay earring set - FREE video

My best PR comes from my close friends :)

Free tutorial!
Polymer clay loop earrings with flower decorations
While visiting US with my family, I took a day off to take a walk on Manhattan streets.
5th & 6th Av. were my natural choice with endless findings stores, jewelry, beads and many more.

One of my purchases were huge loop earrings I saw many of the women wear.

I had to make an earring set to myself just to see how they look on me.
Then, I went to see a close friend, have a cup of coffee and she said immediately - "PLEASE, can you make one for me too?" (plus a big please smile)

I couldn't refuse her request and knew she is my best PR friend, so I went to create several sets for her (and myself) taking the opportunity to video the project as a free tutorial to you.

B&W Flowers on earring loops
Stripy flower earrings!
This 18 minutes earrings project is very easy to create and you can use any color, pattern, shape or technique when creating your polymer clay decoration to match any outfit you wear.
Stripes are only one option! you can use your millefiori flower canes, kaleidoscope canes, stamps, texture - anything will fit this design.

Go ahead and give it a try!

P.S - In a week or so I will be posting my new & extensive tutorial class, celebrating my 40th one.
Many weeks of preparations and investigation - materials and techniques were a part of this journey to bring you the best tutorials.

See you in a just a bit!

Polymeri Online 25.3.12 | Owls on TV, Smiley face cane, Pink bunny and Knotted jewelry

My last day of packing and getting ready to my trip started when I found out one of my kids passport will expire in 3 days. I have no idea how that happened but we spent ALL day running all over the country to fix it. I think I lost 10 years of my life from the stress, but now all is ready, thanks god.

Last PolymeriOnline post before I go -

Henry and Albert are 2 brother owls. They like video games, computer and watches T.V all day long. Esther/Mocha is a polymer clay artist who loves animals and creates them with lot's of love and details.

French artist - GADOUILLE made a face cane and is sharing with us some of the steps on the way to become a final cane. She says it is not what she expected and I say - why? :)

I know Valentine was 1.5 months ago, but here is a cute bunny tutorial made with Fimo air basic. The tutorial is made by Kellie from "Makeitwithme" blog

Some of DisenyArte (Olga) recent jewelry are made of polymer clay beads and a kind of macrame knotting. The final result is impressive, colorful and unique.

See you on another continent! :)

Polymeri Online 12.12.11 | Crown pin, Gauged ears earrings, Embossed pendant tutorial, Fun memory game & Enchanted Garden giveaway

Getting ready for the holiday, here is a super cute polymer clay crown pin for a little princess by Daria. Daria is from Kyiv, Ukraine and designs stuff as far as she remembers, first clothes and accessories for her dolls, fabric flowers, drawing, beading and so much more! she graduated from Fine arts school but choose another way and has PhD in molecular biology. Now, as a stay at home mom, she finds the time to create jewelry, some with polymer clay.

These earrings by PeachTreats made me take a 2nd look. At first, I couldn't find how to insert them into the ear, then I realized, that she makes earrings for both gauged ears and for regular pierced ears. if you aren’t sure what she means by “gauged ears”—that is when the earring hole is stretched. They are all made of polymer clay!

Elsita posted an interesting tutorial on using both paper and polymer to create an interesting pendant. She is tracing a drawing on paper, cutting and pressing the paper against the polymer to create an embossed design. Looks like a wonderful project!

Here is a fun memory game project, originally not created with polymer clay but we can do the same with clay. Take identical coins (use the smallest exchange you have) and glue on it a pre-baked polymer clay design that matches in size and color or pattern - 2 of each. Now you have a wonderful memory game to play with the children!

I was a "proud mom" this week! 2 of my students - Fimomaus and chiccolove made wonderful "Enchanted Garden" canes and even held a competition between them who's going to be first to create them all! They were sure fast like a pasta machine motor! :)

The "Enchanted Garden" special holiday sale is still on with few giveaway sets left!

I'm Back and some new Polymeri Online

I'm back after almost 2 weeks i didn't post, now i feel a bit better.

Just after Rosh Hashana holiday when getting back from my son's swim class we were both hit in a traffic accident, thanks god we are ok, nothing broken, only pains and bruises that hopefully will heal soon.
Nothing prepares you to this experience, even when seeing and hearing about it over and over on TV and radio, I didn't understand what this means.
I lost my consciousness, my head was hit, parts of those moments i don't remember very well. Funny, but the only thing i was thinking about before i got into the CT scan is my artistic skills when checking my memory. Sounds totally out of place but i did think of my clay that moment. I know it's not a joke & i am not a religious person, but i feel that someone, up there, was keeping us safe and saved us that day. The car was totally ruined.

So, again, sorry for being away, i promise to be back on track and in my dear studio,
i am sure that this is the best cure for me.

I got some nice links for you this week, Just look at these beautiful mushrooms and tiny creatures in Cade's store, made of polymer clay, paper clay, sculpey & stamps

another wonderful crafted and customizable scented jewelry made by tinyhands, sweets and more sweets!

Sylvia's blog is full of great projects and a demo on how to twist a earring wire.

take care and please, drive carefully.
