Holocaust day in Israel

Forgive me for taking today's post to another place, a bit less creative and cheerfull...
Today is the The Holocaust day in Israel.

I heard this story from my grandmother, before she passed away, she was 15 when the holocoust happened, she lost her mother and father, sisters and brothers, she was lucky enough to be so beautiful, the nazi were nice to her and she survived, but i know that her soul was beaten, all her life she cried on those she lost.
My other side of the family also lost my great grandfather, he was killed in Auschwitz.
So many stories... so many lives gone...

Please, there must be another way, no more hate among people, no more wars.

Mosquito Technique :)

I haven't yet seen PolymerCafe Magazine with my article (it takes longer to get to Israel :) ), but i wanted to tell you some more about it.
It all started as an idea poped into my head, I was looking for something to help me create a thin but strong polymer clay piece/bead that will not break after the first fall of my hand. I knew clay, in general, does not handle breakage well, some items I had broke when they fell on the floor, so I thought i should look for something that can give the clay the stabilization and duration I was looking for.

If you want to know more about this "Mosquito Technique", how and why it is called that way - you are welcome to read the article :)

Enjoy!

Passover Adventures!

Boy! that was a busy holiday!
Don't get me wrong, i am not complaning at all :) some of them were very positive and fun, but some are less...

My craft fairs were great, although these days people don't hurry and buy, i had good sales, this year it was the popular Keychains & jewelry (last holiday it was Hamsa-mania), every fair i have new suprises, it's ok, the buyers don't want me to get bored...

Then came friends that bought some more, and... i found myself almost stock-less! no more barretes left, no more "disc-chic" necklaces, "disc-chic" rings!
i am parting from my day job these days and becoming a full time artist so i can't tell you how happy i am.

Passover with family was fun as usuall, matzot, kneydalach, i think i gained some weight, oh dear :( i'll have to loose those kg soon! Gym - here i come!

Plus, I had an ASAP custom order of "health" keychains for a local company, they needed it 1st thing on sunday, so i was working to keep the deadline (and finished!!)

We did have some mis-fortunate insident, My 9 yrs son, twisted his ankle when jumping on his skateboard, so now he is resting with his foot up - who said children are easy to raise?

keeping the good spirit, hope every one had good holidays!
