First Behance polymer clay artist is Russian ConteMagie (Lena CK) who is according to 2012 Behance records, a student (still?) and creates delicate thin (extruded?) clay stripes which are incorporated into a very impressive and elegant jewellery design.
Her designs features harmony of colour and shapes and sometimes she used beading techniques to finalise her beautiful delicate jewellery.

Larissa's clay work

Another Behance find is Larissa Honsek from Germany, which is a photographer most of her time but finds a little time to play with polymer clay.

Raku Inoue wall pieces

Canadian (originally Japanese) Raku Inoue is another artist featuring his many talents in Behance: He is experimenting with multiple media but his work is based on polymer clay, digital photography and photoshop.
He has beautiful free wallpapers to download, was recently featured in "the Polymer Arts" magazine & his website is a fun tour into his multi graphic talents.

Lizzie Campbell is a UK polymer clay and mixed media illustrator.
She is using both FIMO and Sculpey brands of polymer clay depending on which works best for the design. Before working with polymer clay she used air dry clay but when she found polymer, it became her favourite. Don't miss her interview and article featuring iconic scenes from horror movies along with other articles she was mention on!

Gloria's Butterflies Cluster

While looking at the ACC 2013 show presenters list, which took place in Atlanta at the same time with Synergy conference, I stumbled upon a polymer clay artist name that was new to me (and I think I know most of them), Gloria Danvers. The piece shown as a thumbnail next to her name was a lovely butterflies canes necklace. According to her she is using link chains to form a bib, and then cover it with butterfly wings. It is her interpretation of the way butterflies clustering on trees during migration.

I have been in the ACC show several times before, when Synergy took place in Baltimore and it is a must show for every artist in any medium.

Sari's polymer clay masks

Sari Lin from Israel is a long time friend and polymer clay colleague. I had the pleasure of being her teacher for several technique classes and we continued our polymer clay friendship through the internet and on Facebook. In her recent creations she is playing with faux knitting to create polymer clay masks. Here is another version of masks in a different color/technique.

Sari is mad about pens which are always on demand among her friends, family and customers and loves to play with different techniques. Even though she is dealing with multiple sclerosis for many years, she is choosing the more colorful side of life and found polymer clay to be her best chosen medium. One of her recent creations is a LaserCut bracelet after taking Jana Benzon's workshop recently given in Israel.

Tanya's Jewelry

Tanya Mayorova is from Russia is only 25 years old. Her flickr gallery is full of goodies, I had a difficult time choosing which picture to show next to her name. She is working with polymer clay and scrap booking, plan to start to learn to draw. Her techniques are mixed - millefiori, beautiful use of scrap and more.

Fusion in Polymer

One of Tanya's favorites on Flickr is vix @fusion, mother (jean) and daughter (vix) fusion team playing with materials and techniques. In this photo they are presenting polymer clay rings on twisted copper wire bracelet. Fusion jewelry designs are handcrafted and created from various craft mediums such as polymer clay, semi precious gemstones, wire and kumihimo braiding techniques.

i am happy to announce 3 new Tutorials :)

For the past few weeks i've been doing some "artistic" thinking. I was reading the survey feedbacks i got from my PolyPediaOnline members, and thought how can I pass my knowledge forward.

Clearly people want to learn! so many questions, queries, so many people wish to improve their skills, upgrade their work and even sell and make a living.

I took my real notebook (not my laptop :) ) and a pen and started listing my next projects.

Some of the projects were very clear to me since i made them so many times, but one of them was a little bit new to me. it was a tutorial on making a butterfly cane which so many of you asked for.

Now, this was a challenge!

would you believe me if i tell you that up until few weeks ago i have never made a butterfly cane? in all my 5 years of working with polymer and making canes i never made one. i don't know why, but this huge looking cane always intimidated me. i was certain that my 1st cane will be a disaster. to my surprise - it wasn't! i managed to go through the whole process without making any (almost) mistakes! i was so proud of myself!

Sometimes we fear the unknown, especially when in comes to artistic skills - "How do i start with such a complex project?", "what if a creation comes out all wrong?", "what will happen to all that clay i wasted? will it go to my scrap again?", - do you ask yourself these questions? I do! Yes, even an experienced clayer like me ask these questions all the time. When you ask the questions - you get answers!

Over the years I found different ways to avoid making mistakes, usually while trial and error, this is why i want to share my knowledge to simplify things - Creating has never been easier - with clear instructions, good photos, some diagrams & planning, everyone can make perfect canes - everyone.
