Freehearts has been creating things with some form of clay for

Today we are having "Lag-Baomer" holiday, and the most well-known custom of Lag BaOmer is the lighting of bonfires. The traditional "dish" (if i can call it a

Wall cakes's store is full of wonderful hand crafted decorative switch plates.

Her story reminds me a little bit of my own, when she lost her job she re-discovered her love of art. She says that "losing something is sometimes the best thing that can happen to anyone". As a teenager, she took classes, made things on a loom, watched and helped, her mother and aunt ran a small business making ceramics. Her inspiration comes from the mediums she works with. Polymer clay can be whatever you want it to be - so true.

Jim Jenkins's - "Bognogginz"

It is always like that, when i think i would probably can't find new polymer clay flickr artists, i find it!

This is Jim Jenkins from San Diego, US. He never set out to make little creatures and caricature from clay. When he started he was just playing with modeling clay. As he played he would notice faces and figures looking back at him from the clay. He made them almost by accident, It was just what happened in the clay. From there he continued to develop the creatures and their expressions and their emotions. It is a lot of fun for him! He liked doing his unique little beasts because he had never seen anything like them. It can't be wrong if he made it up, right? From there he developed a back story about the "Bognogginz". The Bognogginzare a race of creatures from a place deep in the swamps of Southern Louisiana called Johnson's Bog. Johnson's Bog is not your typical swamp. It is more a reflection of our society and an opportunity to make comment on things that exist in the real world. He called them "Bognogginz" because they are from a bog and almost all face and head.

Jim teaches the occasional class in San Diego and volunteer at local schools to bring his passion for working in synthetic modeling compounds to young up and coming artists in the area.

Israela Angel, is an Israeli artist. she works with polymer clay, fabric prints and vagetables :)

She developed a unique way of working with polymer clay. All the art work that you see can be used as a box or decor. These are all part of series she made that talks about women, about the fact that "a woman in her nature a person that holds inside her and being held".

Her work was chosen together with other 65 artists (3 of them israeli) to be presented in a "International Experimental Engraving Biennial" in Romania.

Her artwork are pretty small, they are approximately 12 centimeters high and 6 centimeters wide, all of her shapes are organic and she uses organic vegetables to get her unique shape -radish , turnip and potatos are just several of them.

Her process is as followed -
1. She takes for example a potato and cover it with basic polymer clay.
2. print her photo on cotton fabric.
3. hold down the fabric to the covered potato with a polymer clay decoration gel.
4. cover the print with a clear and liquid polymer clay.
5. Decorate the covered potato
6. makes a hole in the clay so she can take to potato out after baking.
