Nathan Flynn is a master in sculpturing. He uses his figures in stop-motion animations and works with super sculpey clay to creates super realistic, funny, perfect creations.
His Instagram profile mentions his partner Joshua Flynn and together they are responsibe for Sculpt Double designs.
Nathan is also a skilled animator which create motion pictures.

Miniature architecture by Oliver

Oliver is a polymer clay architect. He is also 16.
He takes buildings, ships, cars, trains and other architectural items/miniatures and duplicates them in clay, in small scale.
He mentions tin foil in addition to polymer clay as one of his materials, probably used as an armature. What a fun way to use polymer clay! Wish I knew it when I was 16.

Polymer clay elephants gifts

Speaking of elephants. I took Kni Kni’s idea, giving away souvenirs when traveling (she was in India) and both me and my children made really quick versions of it to give to our Thailand hosts. Kids cannot wait to spread the polymer word in Thailand too!

Belkomor's carved chips necklace

Take a look at Belkomor piece posted on April this year. She mention the design was inspired by a colour palette posted from time to time in the Russian group.

The techniques used in the decoration are chips, carving, stamps and tinted wax varnish.

Isabel really wanted to create hollow beads for a little flag project but didn't have the extruder core adaptors. I haven't tried this solution but it's worth trying, and it's free!

It's already tuesday. Time is running when we are busy...
As you already know from Facebook (or maybe not yet), Switzerland polymer clay artist Sabine Backer is my guest in Israel the past week. We had a great week, traveling around the country, leaving enough for the next trip, weather is perfect, sunny and warm.
Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv, Haifa; getting familiar with new cuisines (Falafel, tahini, hummus) and!.... getting a new tattoo for Sabine! Surprising moments noted here!

Texture, anyone?

Googling around the net looking for new ideas and inspiration, I found a pin by Jill Palumbo, pinned by Tibby Craythorne, who decided to make her own textures using plastic doilies, lace and textured scrap book paper. I used lace and doilies but plastic ones? didn't think of these.

You can also use Anna Jour technique for making your own texture using transparent film and liner for stained glass/ceramics. Anna is using this method in her Mokume Gane beads.

Pam's copper wire beads

Pam Sanders says about herself she is a very eclectic mixed media artist, obsessed with making things. She loves bizarre art.
She uses copper wire in her art as a decorative border around her beads, as if it is a thread sewn into polymer.

Wire can do wonders in a polymer piece, who ever master it's techniques has a gift in his hands.

Polymer & Marker inks

The polymer clay Russian community is always a gem of inspiration and ideas.
Masha Koekak creates these inked rings and beads. Their size range from 3 to 7.5 cm, The technique include creating a clay sheet, painted on all sides with alcohol based markers. The markers create a thin layer of paint, each is sealing the tone of the previous color. Interesting effects come out as a result. The final piece is sealed with a thin layer of FIMO gel and it is bright and colorful especially on day light!

Polymer Galaxy

Another link from the cold country girls is presenting a new polymer clay galaxy discovered recently. Cosmobo created a solar system made entirely of polymer clay - Sun, venus, mercury, earth and all others are a beautiful collection of pins or pendants. Cosmobo is using cernit in some of her projects and I can see more materials and goodies hidden inside her designs.

miniature eyeglasses from wire and acetate

Rose Favero posted a cool tutorial for making super miniature eyeglasses from wire and acetate. Naturally this is not polymer but can be a great addition to your polymer clay faces!
All you need is scissors, pliers, tweezers, office hole punch, acetate and wire.

Back from my Switzerland-Leichtenstein trip and it was wonderful and un-forgettable. It was my first time in Switzerland and will definitely not my last.
Perfect Tick-Tick Swiss clock organization by Sabine Backer, wonderful people, great food, clean fresh Swiss air, beautiful landscape and I can only wait for my next visit there. Spanish MomentOComplementO is a multi-technique polymer clay artist - from Millefiori to stamping, beading, jewelry making, leather stringing, miniature food and the list goes on.
Her recent creations is a guitar collection made of polymer clay. This is a personal project of hers and it is a humble tribute to each and every one who loves music.

Tina from The Spotted Tree creates US handmade figurines in the classic style of vintage folk art: Clowns, gnomes, smiley Easter eggs, all with her special signature design and characteristics. Her pieces first come to life with a paper sketch or a layout, then hand sculpted (by her) out of polymer clay. Next they are oven baked, painted, sealed and signed.

Nicolò (Finally a man!) is Italian, from Padova, a 22-year-old student who studies Economics and Management in Venice.
Like many of us when he was a child he used to play with polymer clay, and in 2011 he took his passion one step forward and began to create and sell his creations - miniatures of manga characters, cartoon characters and many more. Harry Potter, Freddy Mercury and the the monster from the Alien movie are only few of his wonderful miniatures.

Ruth Karp, one of my dear students, send me a picture of her beautiful Altoid tin boxes. Her expertise is obvious, when creating so many one can do it with her eyes closed :)

My crochet "sheet" rug

Speaking of crochet, I took several days off polymer to create a crocheted rug using old colorful bed sheets of mine, it's a fun project and everyone in the house is complaining about the noise I am making when tearing off the sheets into strands. These strands are connected into a big "sheet-yarn" ball and crocheted like regular yarn. I will keep you updated on my final project when I am finished.

Funky Foam Polymer Clay Stamp by Grgalina

Grgalina is sharing with us an interesting lesson how to create a reverse stamp (raised) using funky foam and a rubber stamp.

The idea is to take the funky foam, heat it with a heat gun for 30 seconds and then stamp it with your stamp.
This may seem a shallow stamping, but according to her it is quite deep.
When finished you have a reversed stamp you can use on polymer clay.

She also tried the heating process with boiling water (careful!) and it turned out as well. She explained her process in detail on her blog, use a translator to read her entire post.
