Copper Patina meets polymer clay

Art Bliss Marilyn Girling explored many areas of mixed media, acrylics, colored pencil, bead work and more. In this link she is sharing with us the creation of a cigarette card (which I had to google to find out what they are!) using copper acrylic paints, black and patina. she uses tissue paper, sculpey and strong backing for this special effect.

DIY Texture Sheets

Do-Yourself-Texture sheets - Italian artist Elisabetta used cut circles from one polymer clay sheet and placed them on a second sheet to create a cool texture sheet, inspired by Diffendaffer ideas.

I'm home! Italy was wonderful! a little bit rainy on the beginning but after that the weather was great - Milano, Florence and Tuscany, Venice, Murano, Ferrari Museum (plus a real ride on a Ferrari car!), Piza, San Gimignano, Siena, Roma - an amazing trip and an amazing birthday!

But's it's always good to be back home :)

Winter is slowly leaving my country but it's always great to see a scarf decoration made of polymer clay, I love scarves, especially fabric ones.

Alessandro Marco from Italy is a long time cyber-friend, He was one of the first customers in my Etsy shop back in 2007.

He always thought that polymer clay is a magical material and his passion hasn't stopped since.

These days he is working on a Lamp collection made of polymer clay and glass. According to his process, he uses lamps with glass base , He attaches glass tiles to the base, wait a day, clean it all with some oily materials, and then place neon "fimo" or liquid "fimo" between the different pieces of colored glasses.

After that, the lamp will be sent for oven curing in not more than 100/120 Celsius for 20 minutes, when it is cooled it is cleaned up. Marco always gives a name to all his creations before going on sale! :)
