First batch of September's holidays is over, second is still ahead, so between family gatherings, traditional feasts and other activities I am finding some time for PolymeriOnline posts.

Check out Rebekah Payne's tutorial for antiqued pressed flower beads. Rebekah is using polymer clay and molds to create these beautiful beads, her molds seem to be handmade but I am not 100% sure about that, I think you can create similar molds by using leaves from your back yard and embed them inside Mold maker, silicon base or even scrap clay.
Rebekah was mentioned in PolymeriOnline blog in April 2011, then, with her lovely heart pendant.

Caren's TRIO - polymer-horses-acrylic

Caren Goodrich is a lifelong artist. She paints horses in acrylic and also work in metal clay and polymer clay. These beauties are her horses meeting polymer clay, she did these with a very thin, watercolor-like application of acrylic paint and used a coat of liquid polymer as a sealer. According to her this kind of work is much more time consuming than her paper canvas painting....

Beefball Bowls

Crazy Clown earrings by Maddalena

Last is a colorful example of a very easy technique for mixing straps of clay to achieve a happy design.
Maddalena Gianni posted these earrings in her flickr and she calls them "crazy clown" design. She is from Piza Italy (Yay! been there!) and it seems that at the moment millefiori canes are her passion.

Polymer clay Olympic Headband

Olympics is over but here is a quick project to create your own olympic inspired bronze (gold or silver?) headband by Heidi from HandsOccupied blog. You can purchase silver/gold toned metal headbands to paint in your favorite color or cover with fabric and make your own design with polymer.

Eten-Iren, mentioned several months ago made this colorful ipod case on a base plastic case - isn't this cool? I wonder if she made the roses, cured and then adhered them to the base case or placed it in the oven? I'll have to try curing some plastic cases and see if they are heat resistant :)

Art Bliss Marilyn Girling explored many areas of mixed media, acrylics, colored pencil, bead work and more. In this link she is sharing with us the creation of a cigarette card (which I had to google to find out what they are!) using copper acrylic paints, black and patina. she uses tissue paper, sculpey and strong backing for this special effect.

Polymeri Online 2.7.09 and some vacation adventures

Hello everyone, at the moment i am writting my post from the hotel lobby (i am in Eilat, which is the southest city in Israel, the perfect place for vacations and holidays), family is with me and we took a short vacation as a great summer start, school is over and we are enjoying the summer with pool, sun and... swimming with Dolphins! yesterday i had the most amazing adventure when both me and the kids took a short dive with dolphins, what an experience! recommended (if you have some dolphins around :)

i cannot forget you all, so i am here for some PC links...
