Polymeri Online 24.6.14 | Graphic polymer clay bangles, Baby jar village, Grass is greener on the other side, Carving chips, Nail your extruder and Mix and match

Lora & Jan's graphic bangles
Lora strong line of jewellery is the result of her collaboration with her partner Jan. Together they are a Slovenian couple that likes working with polymer clay so much that they decided to share it with the rest of the world.
Their first attempts with polymer clay go way back, but they started working with it seriously on 2011.
Some of their bangles are created in sophisticated techniques such as back filling, you can check it out in her 3D design - http://www.lorasrobas.com/3d-tiles/

Build your own village with baby food jars
Could you guess what these are made of? Baby food jars!
Not only snow globes can be made from these small jars, we can build a whole new village with it!
Russian artist Toy Belle is taking her jars and building a fun and colourful neighbourhood. You are welcome to see more houses in her blog - http://toy-belle.livejournal.com/
http://polymerclayfimo.livejournal.com/4852296.html

Toy Belle mention Belkomor as her inspiration to the grass technique on her jars.
This is a very time consuming technique but the final result is very impressive.

Belkomor's carved chips necklace
Take a look at Belkomor piece posted on April this year. She mention the design was inspired by a colour palette posted from time to time in the Russian group.

The techniques used in the decoration are chips, carving, stamps and tinted wax varnish.

Use a nail when you need
a hollow extruded bead?
Need hollow extruded beads?
Don't have the core adaptors? Have you thought about using nails?
Isabel really wanted to create hollow beads for a little flag project but didn't have the extruder core adaptors. I haven't tried this solution but it's worth trying, and it's free!
Thank you the girls from the Israeli forum for this link.

Tampinha's miniature goods
Mix fabric, crochet, metal, findings and clay and what do you get? Super cute miniatures and designs!
Portugal's Tampinha flickr gallery is full of sweetness.
You can see miniature food with crochet decorations with scarfs and felt. Beautiful colours and combinations.

Have a great day and rest of the week!

Polymeri Online 19.6.14 | 45 Hours bracelet, Japanese Millefiori rose cane, Philadelphia polymer clay clasp, Francine's bears, Millefiori piggies, My owl sleeping mask and Kate's amazing faux ceramic polymer clay beads

Oksana's 45 hours project
What would you do if someone asked you to sit for 45 hours and create a single bracelet made of little tiny balls and dots. Would you do it?
Oksana Baskakova (Ksssandorium) calls her bracelet "45 hours of summer sun" and mentions she created it on a rainy day. Each ball is not larger than 2 mm diameter and you can only imagine the amount of patience required for such a piece.

You can see more of her work here - http://vk.com/ksssandorium

The Japanese way - Rose millefiori cane
Donna Pickering posted a link in her Pinterest gallery showing a Japanese lady - Naomi Shirota, creating millefiori rose cane (Nerikomi technique) without creating a traditional pasta machine skinner blend. Alternatively, she is blending each colour separately and then combining the blend and assembling the rose shape into it's final design. The cane is then "sliced" and formed into a bowl. Inspiring!

Polymer clasp
The ladies (men too?) from the Philadelphia Polymer Clay Guild posted this picture in their flickr gallery showing a clever polymer clay clasp solution.
The joint between the two parts is made of polymer clay and secured with a pin to hold everything in place.
I am not sure who is the creator of this necklace, if you know, please let me know in the comments below and I will credit the designer.

Francine's cute little bears and figures
I am not using my Google Plus account frequently but from time to time I look around and find some goodies. Take a look at the cuteness in Francine Jacksons dolls.

Being a crafty person sketching and painting human figures & facial expressions, she followed her desire to craft.
After purchasing a "how to" book on polymer clay figures, she was asked to do her first project by a good friend - a very special wedding gift, a bride and groom. Once she received an encouraging and positive feedback, she has been making them every since and enjoying them more and more each day.

Karen's Millefiori Piggies
Another Plus find is Karen Davila's millefiori piglets smiling at us in all colours, patterns and designs! Flowers, geometric, dots, translucent - Rainbow millefiori Piggies! So cute.

I am getting ready for my summer trip to Thailand with 15 friends and family members!
Since we'll all need a good sleep in that long flight I decided to prepare us all cute sleeping eye masks shaped as owl eyes (the beak will be added later).
I can only imagine the look of all of us sleeping with these masks on, I'm sure it will be a hit in the plane!
Here is the YouTube video I used to create it - Fun!!!

Polymeri Online 5.6.14 | Ksenia's polymer clay turtle pendant, Wendy's distortion minimising, Jayne's detailed millefiori canes, The new LEGO slicer & Students Cosmic pride

It's been 2 weeks since the launch of the new PPE (PolyPediaOnline Express) and your feedback is wonderful! Thank you so much all for your support!

Yesterday was the last holiday of the year (before announcing the next jewish new year) and after celebrating with endless diary food, the fridge is full and I can spend more time on posting and less time on cooking! :)

Dolgopolova Ksenia’s turtle pendant
Ukraine artist Dolgopolova Ksenia’s polymer clay work is all about details. Little details.
Her work is so delicate & intricate ranging from flowers, jewelry, figurines, elaborated pendants, brooches and more. According to her website she is working with clay for the past 4 years. Her flickr gallery is a treat to the eye.
Among the materials she frequently uses are - Polymer clay, acrylic paints, liners for glass, waxed cord, fragments of shells, glassy beads, metal accessories and more!

It was hard to choose just one artwork to feature here but eventually I chose the turtle pendant she posted on FB. So beautiful.

Wendy's scrap top and bottom wrappings
Wendy Jorre de St Jorre was mentioned in PolymeriOnline blog but her recent cane caught my eyes. She is wrapping her round canes top and bottom with scrap clay to minimize leftovers after reducing.

Her trees project is beautiful, she is inventing her own botanical trees types and I am sure that her final collection will be breathtaking. What a dedication!

Jayne's intricate millefiori canes
Speaking of millefiori canes, take a look at Jayne Dwyer beautiful owl cane! The details are so beautiful! Don’t miss her cat cane as well.
She definitely has a good hand with canning, there are so many of them in her Paper Moon Jewelry FB page - Flowers, lobsters, lighthouses, birds and more...

Cat's Lego Slicer
Nina Fletcher shared this ingenious machine in her FB page – Lego Slicer?
She found this brilliant photo on Cat Szetu flickr gallery.
Is this the new age of millefiori slicing? I didn’t check but I'm curious to know if lego plastic bricks are polymer compatible. Innovation!
